A Message From The President
By Rae Saulino
Hello OCREA Members,
Spring has sprung!! Everyone is itching to get outside and renew their acquaintanceship with Mother Nature. Before we can do that, we must tie up loose ends.
Some of those loose ends are: thanking everyone who responded so fabulously to the March Luncheon after all the hub-a-ba-loo of the change in venue; thanking everyone who assisted in making the March Luncheon a success; thanking Patricia Provnick, Immediate Past President of the NJREA, for her wonderful address at the Luncheon; thanking Bob Bobick for attending and speaking about Health Benefits; thanking the Women of the Wavelet for their untiring assistance selling 50/50’s, collecting donations for Harbor House and selling some left-over items at a discount to clean house; and, thanking The Clarion for fitting us in without any hesitation and their attention to detail.
As you are well aware, this year OCREA will be presenting four $1,000 Scholarships to Ocean County High School Students who will be pursuing a career in teaching. OCREA is actively pursuing candidates through Ocean County high school Guidance Counselors. If you, the members, know of any high school seniors who would like to become teachers, please encourage them to apply for the scholarships. The applications are on their high school web sites.
Election of Officers for the 2019-20 through 2020-21 years will be held at the May Luncheon. The May Luncheon will be the last for this year.
We’ll be keeping in touch as issues arrive or just to share good news.
Happy Holidays everyone!
